Something More Than Ink: Screen Printing 101 for Organizers

This free teach-in will provide the knowledge and hands-on experience for you to begin screen printing as a component to your organizing efforts!
The teach-in will cover:
-essential supplies for simple screen printing
-art prep basics
-darkroom basics
-press operating basics
-frequent screen printing misunderstandings
-hands-on printing exercises
-applying screen printing to organizing work
Some blank shirts will be provided for printing on a first-come-first-served basis. We encourage that you bring your own dark-colored shirt or bandana to ensure you get time on the printing press.
Your teacher, Kyle McCoy (they/them), worked for 8 years in the screen printing industry as a color separator, production art director, and overall print nerd. Their color separations helped win several awards and can be seen on merchandise for artists from Britney Spears to Behemoth.
